  Gog of Magog

  can someone explain or produce any information about what the new views are about the subject of gog of magog.

  apparently, it has caused a stir and i like to know a little bit about it.

  especially, when i had a brother who hasn’t talked to me in quite a while, starts talking about gog.

  Hi you all, Those who responded to my post, I want to thank you. It’s always good to get a variety of opinions to come up with a resolve to a question. And I think what’s funny is that everything you all said will probably be obsolete because A NEW LIGHT AS APPEARED IN THEIR THINKING.

  I would like to recognize the individuals: Smiles, Jeffry, Island Man. I have extended my research into the matter, thank you again.

  I would also like to make a very strong opinion. When a Witness wanted to discuss a chapter in Daniel, and I believe if not mistaken, it was chapter 11. She was telling me all the societies teaching in this chapter. What was so striking was she came up with names of individuals (regards to the characters in the chapter) that were NOT EVEN MENTIONED IN THE CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE.

  If it isn’t in the scriptures then why are these people adding to Gods word, not good.

  I questioned this persons intellect and could not believe she could come up with this on her own, but when I went to the INTERNET, and punched in the chapter in Daniel, her letter to me ABOUT HER UNDERSTANDING was almost IDENTICAL TO WHAT WAS ON THE INTERNET .

  And this seems to be an ongoing thing with the WTS instead of sticking strictly to the scriptures. As they say now, but, but, but, we got to obey they are Jehovahs representative. Very disturbing.

  Can someone explain or produce any information about what the new views are about the subject of Gog of Magog. Apparently, it has caused a stir and I like to know a little bit about it. Especially, when I had a brother who hasn’t talked to me in quite a while, starts talking about Gog. Apparently they, the watchtower society had a view for over a century and now changed its view for new light.

  Any light on this subject would be great and appreciated.

  The most despicable and disgusting book was the book called in short “The youth book”, where there was some chapters dealing with how a baby is born and if I’m not mistaken, how you have sex. Really! In this day and age, do we need to know? More gratification for the society, it has nothing to do with Christ and his teachings, how would that “incite to love and fine works.”

  I can’t find it!

  i need some serious help on something that i read here on this board, and so i am going to do my best to explain what i’m looking for.

  i need this, so i can’t share with my brother who is still in.. it has to do with the organization saying in affect that each member in the congregation has the right to decide for themselves what they choose to do, (that is whether they choose to be apart of the organization without repercussions) and that they would not think of interfering with our own conscience, and that if they chose otherwise that it would be their own decision.. now some might think that the society wouldn’t write something like that, but they did, and i read it, and after reading it, i said to myself “they don’t follow this, they never have.” .

  if you could locate this for me, i would be very grateful!.

  yesterday, i had my sister come over to tell my mother and i that she will no longer have anything to do with us, because we need to come back to the meetings, it’s what jehovah wants, and hands her a letter to read and asks for a final hug.

  my mother has been dealing with a terrible lost of dad since july, and has been very ill with stress because of it.

  i no longer belong to the organization either, and i have been helping my mother out thru this ordeal, it is just as rough on me.

  I want to CLARIFY A PART OF MY POST:

  My sister came over to see my Mother and I (not made her come over) to tell us she is cutting off ties with us. My Mother and I NO LONGER BELONG TO THE ORGANIZATION FOR AT LEAST 30 YEARS!!!

  My Father had passed away in July, so my sister, like most witnesses give their TOKEN SERVICE to console us over the loss by coming over at least 3 times.

  And her being a part of the ORGANIZATION should have known, and here, my Mother and I know this.

  Yesterday, I had my sister come over to tell my Mother and I that she will no longer have anything to do with us, because we need to come back to the meetings, it’s what Jehovah wants, and hands her a letter to read and asks for a final hug.

  My Mother has been dealing with a terrible lost of Dad since July, and has been very ill with stress because of it. I no longer belong to the organization either, and I have been helping my Mother out thru this ordeal, it is just as rough on me. So after a token service of her seeing her Mother 2 or 3 times since July she like all witnesses feels it’s time again to say I have to stop visiting you.

  But as she walks out the door, I tell her that I would like to say some things to you if you don’t plan to visit either one of us. She says go ahead. I then tell her the episode of how the governing body had to send one of its members (Jeffery Jackson) to Australia to appear in court to answer questions, regarding the abuse of what appears to be over 4000 kids. She apparently didn’t know about this. But then she tells me “Jeffery Jackson is not part of the governing body.” I said yes he is, she said no he’s not. I said if he is not, he still had to appear before the court to testify.

  I have always considered him as a governing body member, heck, I’m out of the organization and she doesn’t know this. So my question is this

  Is Jeffery Jackson a member of the governing body? (I know he is!) Can someone show me proof that he is?

  I thought we were told in scripture by the Apostle Paul to “Examine the scriptures to see if they are so,” like the Boreans in the book of Acts.
